Mallory’s three touchdowns power Western Boone past Frankfort

Stars rush for 317 yards, collect four takeaways in 49-0 shutout

FRANKFORT — Jack Mallory rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns as Western Boone rolled past host Frankfort 49-0 in an Indiana high school football matchup.

The Stars improved to 4-2 with the conference victory, while Frankfort fell to 0-6.

Additionally, Mallory carried 14 times, averaging 13.6 yards per attempt and breaking loose for a 53-yard run. Moreover, Rolen Shue added 31 yards and two touchdowns on five carries as Western Boone finished with 317 rushing yards.

Quinn Westerfeld contributed 35 yards on four rushing attempts and completed four of six passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. Tyson Riner completed all three of his passes for 17 yards and another score.

Nathan Thompson led the Stars’ receivers with three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown. Freshman Jackson Potter added a 5-yard touchdown reception.

Western Boone totaled 379 yards of offense and averaged 9.1 yards across 35 rushing attempts. The Stars scored five touchdowns on the ground and two through the air.

The defense complemented that production with a shutout and four takeaways. Beau Sawyer intercepted two passes, while Mason Foster and Sam Rausch each recovered a fumble. Maddox Amich and Josiah Williamson were credited with forced fumbles.
