Mallory powers Western Boone past North Montgomery, 45-32

Jack Mallory rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown as Western Boone defeated North Montgomery 45-32 in an Indiana high school football game played in Thorntown.

The Stars improved to 3-2 with the conference victory, while the Chargers fell to 1-4.

Mallory carried 23 times to lead a rushing attack that produced 304 yards. Rolen Shue added 60 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, while quarterback Quinn Westerfeld rushed for 47 yards and a score.  Westerfeld also completed 10 of 16 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Nathan Thompson caught both scoring passes, finishing with three receptions for 82 yards.

Alex Velazquez added two catches for 21 yards, while Mallory caught two passes for 18 yards. Western Boone finished with 448 yards of total offense.

The Stars’ defense intercepted three passes, with Beau Sawyer, Carson Nicley and Jackson Bloss each recording a pick.
