Hagan leads Sheridan past Clinton Central, 59-14

MICHIGANTOWN — Brock Hagan rushed for two touchdowns and threw two scoring passes as Sheridan defeated Clinton Central 59-14 in a Hoosier Heartland Conference Indiana high school football game.
The Blackhawks piled up 358 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground, finishing with 449 yards of total offense. Both teams emerged from the game with 2-2 records.
Hagan carried seven times for 82 yards and completed five of nine passes for 91 yards. Hayden Alexander added 69 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, while Brody Heck led Sheridan with 90 yards on just three attempts. Braxton Schwerdtfeger scored on both of his offensive touches, turning his only carry into a 53-yard touchdown and his lone reception into a 42-yard score. Levi Gellert contributed 50 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Landon Moffitt caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown, while Heck added a 16-yard reception.
Sheridan’s defense supplied another score when Cesar Cuautle returned a fumble 52 yards for a touchdown. Schwerdtfeger and Brandon Adler also recovered fumbles. Waylyn Grinstead led the Blackhawks with 16 tackles, including 10 solo stops, and forced a fumble. Schwerdtfeger added 12 tackles, Gellert finished with 11 and Heck recorded 10. Cuautle, Alexander and Dylan Lopez each contributed nine tackles.
