Lawrence North overwhelms Lawrence Central in shutout

LN wins 42-0 as Prather throws for 274 yards and offense piles up 450 total yards

Lawrence North turned a fast start into a complete performance, scoring in every quarter and blanking MIC rival Lawrence Central 42-0.

The Wildcats offense produced 450 total yards in this Indiana high school football game including 308 through the air and 142 on the ground. Quarterback Darian Prather led the passing attack, completing 10 of 11 attempts for 274 yards and two touchdowns.

Zay Moore opened the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. LN then broke the game open with 21 points in the second. Amari Moore scored on a 2-yard run, caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Prather and watched Zay add a 9-yard scoring run.

Prather and Zay Moore delivered the longest play of the game in the third quarter, connecting for a 77-yard catch and run for a touchdown that pushed the lead to 35-0. Marreon Baker finished the scoring with a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Purdue commit Zay Moore carried 10 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns and added the 77-yard scoring reception. Amari Moore rushed four times for 44 yards and caught two passes for 53 yards, accounting for two touchdowns. Ethan Abdulraheem collected two receptions for 65 yards, while Keivon Mattox hauled in three passes for 43 yards.

The Wildcats defense matched the offense’s production with a shutout and five takeaways. Davion Jones, Brayden Wilson and Trey Cunningham each intercepted a pass, while Ladavion Robinson recovered two fumbles. Robinson also recorded five tackles and an assist.

Anthony Whitfield paced the defense with seven tackles and seven assists. Damirre Turner made eight tackles, Cunningham added four tackles, two assists and a tackle for loss, and Makai Redwine recorded a tackle for loss among his three total stops.
