In a non-conference Indiana high school girls basketball game Plainfield hung on to beat Hamilton Southeastern 50 – 44. A low scoring first half (18 – 17) saw the Lady Quakers outscore the Lady Royals 32 – 27 in the second half. Free throw shooting played a big role in the win for Plainfield drilling 9 of 13 in the fourth quarter securing the win. HSE kept both Hannah Menser and Berkeley Williams in check in the first half holding each to four and two points, respectively. Menser struck fire in the third quarter scoring nine of her game-high 15 points while Williams scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth. The Quakers (12 – 5) held the Royals (14 – 3) to just 29% shooting from the field in the win. Piper Brinley and Haylee Mezera paced HSE with 14 points apiece. Brinley and Kayla Stidham each collected seven rebounds.
