RED DEVILS ROLL PAST GRIZZLY CUBS IN NON-CONFERENCE SHOWDOWN
Indianapolis, IN — The Pike Red Devils continued their outstanding season Tuesday night, posting a 74-54 victory over the Franklin Grizzly Cubs in non-conference Indiana high school girls basketball action at Pike High School. The win extended Pike’s impressive streak to 14 straight victories and improved the Red Devils’ record to 15-1 on the year.
Pike jumped out early and never looked back, dominating from the opening quarter with a 22-9 lead and carrying momentum throughout the night. The Red Devils outpaced Franklin Community in every quarter, highlighted by a strong fourth quarter where Pike outscored the Grizzly Cubs 24-12 to pull away decisively.
The balanced offensive attack was led by a breakout performance from freshman Savayah Mitchell, who erupted for a team-high 17 points, pulled down five rebounds and added four steals. Saniya Smith hit for 13 points including 3 of 5 from behind the arc. Marley Jeffers was another key contributor with 10 points and seven rebounds, continuing her efficient play inside and on the glass. Kamari Booker and Chami Williams also chiped in 10 points each.
Pike finished with a total of 30 field goals, 19 rebounds and 18 assists, showcasing balance and depth throughout the roster.
