Center Grove delivered a balanced and efficient performance defeating Evansville Reitz 53-37 in the Jasper girls basketball semi-state round. Behind strong perimeter shooting and disciplined defense, the Lady Trojans controlled the tempo and never allowed Reitz to gain sustained momentum.
Center Grove shot an impressive 53 percent from the field (18-of-34) and 50 percent from three-point range (9-of-18), showcasing their offensive efficiency on the biggest stage of the season. Senior Gracyn Gilliard led the Trojans with 21 points, connecting on 7-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. She added nine free throw attempts and filled the stat sheet with four rebounds and solid defensive pressure. Lillia Tapak provided a major spark, scoring 10 points while knocking down 2-of-4 three-pointers. Tapak also contributed five rebounds, two assists and a steal in a poised postseason performance. MacKenzie Pierce drilled three 3-pointers in the win.
