The 3A #8 Bishop Chatard Trojans picked up a big win on the road over the 2A University Trailblazers 64-38 in Thursday night girls basketball action. The Trojans got off to a blistering start, out-scoring the Blazers 16-6 in the first quarter. Chatard would do the same to start the second half, putting up 21 points while holding University to just nine. Credit the win largely to the glass game for the Trojans who, as a team, racked up 45 total rebounds. Junior Alyx Kendall led in scoring for Chatard with 24 points thanks to the help of four made shots from three-point range. Senior Anna Caskey was the only other double-figure scorer for the Trojans with 11 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.
3A #8 Bishop Chatard moves to 6-4, 2A University slips to 4-5.
