The 2A Scecina Crusaders picked up a first round win in the Indianapolis City Tournament over the 1A Tindley Tigers 44-36. The Tigers held a narrow four point lead headed into the final quarter where Scecina would respond with a 17-7 run to solidify their victory. The Crusaders were able to shoot 42 percent from the floor and 23 percent from deep in their comeback. Ainsley Brown pulled significant weight for Scecina with three three-pointers with 21 points and six rebounds. Mia Miller chipped in with 16 points and seven rebounds.
2A Scecina (7-7) advances to face 3A No. 9 Chatard (10-6) in the city quarterfinals.
