Brownsburg’s second-half surge hands Westfield first loss

Condon rushes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in 38-14 victory

BROWNSBURG — Brownsburg scored 24 unanswered points after halftime to defeat visiting Westfield 38-14 in a matchup of unbeaten Indiana high school football teams.

Parker Condon rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs improved to 6-0 with the Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory. Westfield fell to 5-1.

The teams were tied 14-14 at halftime before Oscar Frye connected with Noah Dearman on a 13-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Alex Thompson added a 27-yard field goal to extend Brownsburg’s lead to 24-14.

Condon scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth, and Frye found Branden Sharpe for a 24-yard touchdown to complete the scoring.

Condon averaged 9.8 yards on 17 carries. Brady Lewis added 91 yards and a touchdown on 13 attempts, while Richard Hall III gained 50 yards on seven carries. Brownsburg finished with 319 rushing yards and averaged eight yards per attempt.

Frye completed 13 of 17 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Sharpe caught three passes for 59 yards and a score, while Dearman finished with four receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulldogs totaled 484 yards of offense and collected 24 first downs, twice Westfield’s total.

Baylor Conner led the Rocks with 45 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries and caught eight passes for 68 yards. Cooper Melvin completed 14 of 21 passes for 107 yards and added a rushing touchdown.

Brownsburg held Westfield scoreless after halftime and limited the Rocks to 193 total yards. Chancelor Adams led the Bulldogs with eight tackles, while Brice Kapitan recorded six tackles, including two for loss. Caden Hall contributed a sack, and Thomas Banich recovered a fumble. Olu Fapetu led Westfield with 13 tackles.
