The 2A Sheridan Blackhawks emerged champions of their home Sheridan Tournament by way of a 72-24 rout of the 1A North White Vikings and an 85-55 win over the 2A Hagerstown Tigers.
Against the Vikings, the Blackhawks were simply a lock down team. The team’s 62 percent shooting performance led to 18 points or higher in three quarters, while 20 steals held the Vikings to a combined 14 points through three quarters. Top performances went to Caleb Wright who scored 18 points, with four made three-pointers, and seven steals. Trey Page also chipped in with four three-pointers on his way to 16 points. Damon Winston added seven boards and five assists.
In game two against Hagerstown, Sheridan’s dominance continued on offense. As a team, the Blackhawks shot 68 percent from the floor and tallied 23 team assists. Trey Page went off, raining down four three-pointers on his way to 28 points with five steals. Damon Winston added 13 points with seven rebounds for Sheridan. Caleb Wright, Devon Hamilton, and Carson Wright all scored 10 in the win for Sheridan.
