Yorktown’s defense sparks 38-0 rout of Greenfield Central
Walker scores three ways as Tigers build commanding first-half lead

Yorktown’s defense supplied the first two touchdowns, and its offense kept the scoring going as the Tigers overwhelmed Greenfield Central 38-0 in an Indiana high school football Hoosier Heritage Conference matchup.
Diezel Walker scored on an interception return, a rushing attempt and a reception, helping Yorktown build a 38-point halftime lead and triggered a running clock to start the second half. The Tigers intercepted four passes and limited Greenfield Central to 93 yards of total offense.
Walker delivered the opening score, returning an interception 12 yards for a touchdown. Drake Ford’s extra point put Yorktown ahead 7-0.
Before the Cougars could recover, Kaden Crumes added another defensive touchdown, taking an interception back 20 yards. Ford’s kick doubled the advantage to 14-0, giving the Tigers two scores before their offense reached the end zone.
Walker then added a 10-yard touchdown run to complete a 21-point first quarter.
Yorktown continued to pull away in the second quarter, this time through the air. Sam Tokar connected with Crumes for a 5-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 28-0 after Ford’s kick.
Tokar then found Walker for a 15-yard score, giving Walker his third touchdown of the half and pushing the margin to 35-0. Ford capped the scoring with a 36-yard field goal, sending the Tigers into halftime ahead 38-0.
Neither team scored after the break as Yorktown finished the shutout. The Tigers held Greenfield Central to 40 rushing yards on 24 attempts and 53 passing yards. The Cougars went 0-for-7 on third down and failed to convert any of their six fourth-down attempts.
Tokar completed 13 of 15 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Crumes led Yorktown’s receivers with six catches for 59 yards, while Cooper Luzadder added three receptions for 21 yards.
Walker paced the ground game with 55 yards on six carries. Nathan Spangler contributed 29 yards on seven attempts and caught two passes for 15 yards.
Yorktown finished with 215 yards of offense and 13 first downs.
