Smith’s three touchdown passes lead Shortridge past Christel House

Blue Devils add punt-return touchdown in 36-0 shutout

INDIANAPOLIS — Caleb Smith completed all five of his passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns as Shortridge defeated host Christel House 36-0 in an Indiana high school football matchup.

Kyree Robinson-McAllister caught two touchdown passes, and Bryce Davis returned a punt for a score as the Blue Devils improved to 3-3 with the conference victory. Christel House fell to 2-4.

Robinson-McAllister finished with four receptions for 113 yards, including an 84-yard catch. Jakhari Elliot caught Smith’s other completion, a 17-yard touchdown pass.

Kaden Moore led Shortridge’s rushing attack with 81 yards and a touchdown on just two carries, including a 53-yard run. Josiah Elliot added 38 yards on four attempts and scored a two-point conversion.

The Blue Devils gained 137 rushing yards on 11 carries and finished with 267 yards of total offense.

Davis contributed a 34-yard punt return for a touchdown and intercepted a pass.

Jakhari Elliot paced Shortridge’s defense with eight tackles, including four solo stops. Shalen Davis recorded four tackles, including three for loss and a sack. Daquon Edmonds also had three tackles for loss, including a sack, and was credited with three quarterback hurries.
