Franklin Central rallies past Noblesville, 24-20

Marsden throws for 311 yards, Brewer catches two touchdowns in conference victory

NOBLESVILLE — Franklin Central scored 14 fourth-quarter points to overcome a three-point deficit and defeat host Noblesville 24-20 in an Indiana high school football matchup.

Caiden Marsden threw for 311 yards and two touchdowns, both to Jayce Brewer, as the Flashes improved to 2-4 with the Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory. Noblesville also stands at 2-4.

The Millers led 7-0 after the first quarter and took a 13-10 advantage into halftime. Following a scoreless third quarter, Franklin Central outscored Noblesville 14-7 in the fourth to complete the comeback.

Marsden completed 27 of 41 passes, with Brewer collecting 10 receptions for 135 yards. Zac Lutz added six catches for 73 yards, while Zyere Torres caught three passes for 42 yards.

Rian Frazier led Franklin Central’s rushing attack with 68 yards on 18 carries and added six receptions for 48 yards. Bryce Danzer rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown on six attempts. The Flashes finished with 423 yards of offense, including 112 on the ground. Malachi Hasseld supplied a 19-yard field goal.

Beckett Draher paced Franklin Central’s defense with 13 tackles and an interception. Andrew Harmon added nine tackles, Amarius Armstead recorded eight and Brayden Poulton finished with seven.

For Noblesville, Windsor Hutchins completed 15 of 27 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Cal Cook caught six passes for 87 yards and a score, while Abram Hunter added three receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Alfred Alwine led the Millers’ ground game with 114 yards on just four carries, including an 82-yard scamper.

Tyler Holmes had a huge night defensively recording 19 tackles and a forced fumble for Noblesville. Yan Tioua added 10 tackles, Jacob Lightle intercepted a pass and Ian Wilson recovered two fumbles.
