Schott’s three touchdowns power Zionsville past Hamilton Southeastern

Choi rushes for 130 yards as Eagles claim 30-14 conference victory

FISHERS — Theo Schott scored three touchdowns and Spencer Choi rushed for 130 yards helping Zionsville defeat Hamilton Southeastern 30-14 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference football action.

The Eagles scored in every quarter and added a defensive touchdown to improve to 5-1. Hamilton Southeastern fell to 2-4.

Zionsville established a 9-0 first-quarter advantage and carried a 16-7 lead into halftime. Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, leaving the Eagles ahead 23-14 entering the fourth. Zionsville outscored the Royals 7-0 in the final period to secure the road victory.

Schott led the Eagles’ receiving corps with six catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown, accounting for three of Zionsville’s four trips to the end zone.

Quarterback Finn Giles completed 16 of 22 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Nic Hoggs matched Schott with six receptions, gaining 47 yards. Choi anchored the ground game with 22 carries with his longest run covering 23 yards. The Eagles finished with 135 rushing yards and 286 yards of total offense.

Zionsville also received a pick six from Troy Clemmer, who returned an interception 68 yards for a touchdown. Chase Koski recovered a fumble to give the Eagles another takeaway.

Gabriel Vinatieri paced the defense with 12 tackles, including nine solo stops and two tackles for loss. Parker Deweese added nine tackles, while Clemmer complemented his interception return with eight stops.
