Flanagan powers Hamilton Heights past Western, 30-7

AJ Flanagan rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown as Hamilton Heights defeated Western 30-7 in an Indiana high school football game played in Arcadia.

Flanagan carried 21 times to lead the Huskies (2-3), who finished with 406 yards of total offense, including 188 on the ground. Western fell to 1-4.

Quarterback Lucas Whitaker completed 14 of 31 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception. He also rushed for a touchdown. Jackson Mikesell caught six passes for 111 yards and both of Whitaker’s touchdown throws. Will DeStefano added three receptions for 89 yards, including a 40-yard catch.

Sam Sigler paced Hamilton Heights’ defense with 18 total tackles, including two sacks. Brayden Mendenhall and Grayden Dahlstrom each added nine tackles, while Ben Butor recorded eight tackles and an interception.

Keegan Kavanaugh added a 36-yard field goal.
