Westfield stays unbeaten with 39-7 victory over Noblesville

NOBLESVILLE — Four Westfield players rushed for touchdowns as the Rocks defeated Noblesville 39-7 in an Indiana high school football game.
Westfield scored 17 unanswered first-quarter points and led 20-0 at halftime. The Rocks extended their advantage to 33-0 after three quarters before Noblesville scored in the fourth.
Westfield improved to 4-0, while Noblesville fell to 2-2.
The Rocks generated 427 yards of total offense, including 198 rushing yards. Shon Edmond led the ground attack with 62 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Baylor Conner added 57 yards and a score, while Maison McCray rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown. Evan Crow contributed 31 yards and a TD.
Maddox Novotney connected with Andrew Noble for a 76-yard touchdown on his only pass attempt. Noble finished with four receptions for 97 yards, while Henry Everts caught four passes for 50 yards.
Cooper Melvin completed 16 of 22 passes for 153 yards. Conner added four receptions for 35 yards, and Novotney caught three passes for 30 yards.
Diego Herrera kicked two field goals, including a long of 43 yards.
Westfield’s defense held Noblesville to 136 total yards, including just 23 passing. Pierce Malin led the Rocks with six solo tackles, Reid Dikos added five tackles, Max Vandegriff recorded a sack and Joey Miles intercepted a pass.
Ethan Clark led Noblesville with 66 rushing yards on 15 carries. Tyler Holmes added 53 yards and the Millers’ lone touchdown on 10 attempts.
Holmes also led Noblesville’s defense with 14 tackles and an interception. Jacob Lightle added 11 tackles, Josiah Bass intercepted a pass and Ian Wilson recovered a fumble.
