Akin powers Lebanon to 42-0 victory over Marion

LEBANON — Kalob Akin rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries as Lebanon shut out Marion 42-0 in a nonconference Indiana high schoolfootball game.

The Tigers scored 21 first-quarter points and built a 28-0 halftime lead before adding a touchdown in each of the final two periods. Lebanon improved to 3-1, while Marion fell to 0-4.

Akin averaged 21.6 yards per carry, including a 51-yard gain, to lead a rushing attack that produced 247 yards and four touchdowns. Jenson Waite added 74 yards and a touchdown on six carries, while Bram Langebartels scored on a 1-yard run.

Jake Linton completed six of eight passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns as Lebanon finished with 354 yards of total offense. He connected with Tannon Monden for a 28-yard touchdown and also threw a scoring pass to Zander Rodriguez.  Langebartels led the Tigers’ receivers with two catches for 47 yards.
