Plainfield erupts early, rolls past Harrison 46-21

Quakers score 32 first-quarter points to earn first victory

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Plainfield scored 32 points in the opening quarter and rolled to a 46-21 Indiana high school football nonconference victory over Harrison.

The Quakers (1-1) carried a 32-7 advantage into the second quarter and added another touchdown before halftime. Plainfield scored seven more points in the third to build a 46-7 lead before Harrison (1-1) answered with two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Plainfield finished with 254 yards of total offense, including 143 rushing yards. Justin Meyer led the ground attack with 73 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.

Quarterback Bryce Sebanc completed 9 of 18 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown to Ethan Ellis. Ellis added a rushing score for the Quakers. Zander Nattam caught three passes for 68 yards, including a 44-yard reception.

Ty White was dynamic on special teams returning a 99-yard kickoff for a touchdown. Liam McAdams drilled a 28-yard field goal.

Plainfield’s defense recorded five sacks and four tackles for loss. Leon Fountain led the Quakers with 10 tackles, including two for loss and 1½ sacks. Gavin Riddell and Evan Lingg also recorded 1½ sacks apiece.
