Pendleton Heights Pulls Away Late, Defeats Muncie Central 76–66

Pendleton Heights used a strong fourth quarter to separate from Muncie Central and secure a 76–66 victory in Indiana boys high school basketball action.

The Arabians led 15–13 after one quarter and extended the margin to 32–23 at halftime behind balanced scoring and efficient shooting. Both teams scored 17 points in the third quarter, keeping the Pendleton Heights lead at nine entering the final period.In the fourth, the Arabians delivered the knockout punch. Pendleton Heights poured in 27 points over the final eight minutes to close out the 10-point win. The Arabians shot 26-of-50 (52 percent) from the field and went 16-of-23 (70 percent) from the free-throw line. They also knocked down eight three-pointers and outrebounded Muncie Central 33–27.

Cooper Sims led the way with 23 points, hitting 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and going 11-of-14 at the free-throw line. He added three rebounds and two assists in a poised performance. Brandt Gray added 16 points, including four three-pointers, while Clark Emly matched him with 16 points and a team-high 12 rebounds to anchor the inside presence while posting a double-double.   Ashaan Singh contributed 13 points and nine rebounds, giving the Arabians a strong interior effort.
