Triton Central outpaces Greenwood Christian in balanced road win

FAIRLAND — Triton Central used a balanced scoring attack and steady execution on both ends of the floor to pull away from Greenwood Christian Academy for a 56–39 victory in Indiana high school basketball action.

Greenwood Christian (5 – 13) battled early, but Triton Central’s (14 – 3) depth and efficiency began to show after halftime. The Tigers won the rebounding battle 25–17 and recorded 10 assists, sharing the ball effectively against the GCA defense.  Triton Central shot 52 percent from the field (19-of-41) and controlled the tempo, turning defensive stops into scoring opportunities. The Tigers were especially effective from the free-throw line, converting 13-of-18 attempts (72 percent), helping them maintain momentum during key stretches.

Eli Sego led the Tigers with 24 points, finishing efficiently inside while also getting to the free-throw line, where Triton Central capitalized throughout the game. Sophomore Brody Hartman added 16 points along with three 3’s and seven rebounds, providing a strong perimeter presence and timely buckets as the Tigers gradually built separation.
