The 6A #1 Lawrence North Wildcats took it to the rival 6A Lawrence Central Bears 40-9 in the opening round of IHSAA Sectional 6. The Wildcats’ special teams got the game going with a blocked punt for a safety in the opening quarter, from there it was all Wildcat football. Izayveon Moore was outstanding rushing for four touchdowns on the night. Quarterback Tanner Aspeslet found Davion Chandler for the other lone touchdown. Colton Hughes continued the special teams contribution for LN with a field goal from 34 yards out. For the Bears, Cooper Jordan striped a 25 yard field goal to put up the first points of the evening. The only other score came from a Terry Walker III touchdown pass to Nizyi Davis with a missed extra point. LC finishes the year 4-6. 

6A #1 LN will host 6A #9 Cathedral next week in the Sectional 6 Championship.
