The 4A #2 Martinsville Artesians escaped the 4A Mooresville Pioneers 27-18 in this Mid-State Conference matchup. Quarterback AJ Reynolds led the Martinsville offense with 225 yards through the air and three touchdowns. Mason Dodson was Reynolds’ prime target with 49 yards and a pair of scores. Joshua Jones found the endzone for the third touchdown with 79 yards on the night. Grady Gardner locked down the defense for the Artesians with three interceptions. In the loss, Mooresville quarterback Connor Cruz slung the rock for 205 yards on 17 completions with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Kaden Bruhn hauled in a pair of scoring receptions to finish with 75 yards. Trey Bennett caught the last touchdown with 38 yards. 

Martinsville moves to 8-0 (6-0 in MSC), Mooresville falls to 3-5 (2-4 in MSC).
