In a close Hoosier Crossroads Conference matchup, the Avon Orioles defeated the Zionsville Eagles 21-14. The Eagles found the end zone first in the opening quarter but would go scoreless in the middle half of the game, proving to be the difference. In the loss quarterback Eli Showalter threw for 87 yards and a touchdown to Eugene Hilton. Sam Manna added a score on the ground for Zionsville with 36 yards rushing. Defensively, Hank Phenicie tallied 11 stops, as did Ben Coffman including a tackle for a loss. Brady Jung and Alex Tate recovered and forced fumbles for the Eagles. 

Avon moves to 2-6 (1-5 in HCC), Zionsville falls to 3-5 (2-4 in HCC).
