The 5A #5 Plainfield Quakers took an easy win against the 5A Anderson Indians 63-8 to open IHSAA Sectional 13. All three sides of the ball for Plainfield contributed to the win. In the rush game, Luke Starnes led the way with the opening touchdown for the Quakers and finished with 93 yards on just three carries. Westyn Weyrich added an additional 45 yards of ground game on just five carries with a trio of touchdowns. Corran McGill added the final rushing score for Plainfield. Quaker quarterback Bryce Sebanc threw for just 74 yards on three completions and still managed to find the end zone for a pair of scores, credit Ethan Ellis and Ryan Garver with those receptions. On special teams, Tashawn Calahan broke away with a 64 yard kickoff return. For the Quakers’ defense, Justin Meyer returned an interception for 74 yards and a score. In the loss for Anderson, Tavious Menifee passed for the lone touchdown. The Indians end the season 0-10. 

5A #5 Plainfield hosts a ranked battle against 5A #4 Decatur Central next week.
