The 4A No. 8 Mt. Vernon Marauders are marching onto the IHSAA semi-state round after a dominant 74-40 win against the 4A No. 19 Brownsburg Bulldogs. The Marauders set the tempo from the opening tip, holding the Bulldogs to just 12 first half points, three of which came in the second quarter, while putting up a pair of plus 20 point quarters in the second and third. As a team, Mt. Vernon shot 70 percent from the floor with only 7 turnovers. Junior Luke Ertel went 2-of-3 from deep on his way to 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists to lead the team. Tyler Davis added 14 points, Tanner Teschendorf chipped in 13, and Max Vise put up 10 points with 5 boards. Mt. Vernon (21-5) advances to face 4A No. 3 Lawrence North (21-6).

Brownsburg ends the season 13-13.
